Comic book adventures, board games, plastic model kits, bubble gum cards, and those tempting advertising promises were some of the ingredients of my childhood. Years later, when I rediscover those nostalgic items, a flood of memories revisit me. Each object became a time machine to transport me back through the years.

My exploration of popular culture is for selfish reasons: to recapture memories of my youth. I rarely exhibit these works, but when I have, people have shared similar experiences with many of the works. Each object becomes a nostalgic domino releasing lost memories.

The art objects are precisely re-created at a gigantic scale. This is to emphasize the heroic impact of the item and the larger-than-life balance they held in our life. Canvases are traditionally framed, but the three dimensional objects are mounted in acrylic cases to strengthen the immediacy and presence of the childhood object.
