PROCESS: This mug is made from a paperclay slab. The graphics are created with vintage letterpress printing plates and new print plates created by the artist. The print plate is impressed into the clay followed by washes and hand-brushed underglaze applied in the recessed area. The mug form is then assembled from 6 pieces of slab clay, precisely trimmed to fit together. The mug is leak-proof.
