This set of cards feature my most popular motifs in a collector card format. Each card design was originally made in clay, then fired, then glazed, then a final firing to cone 5. Each ceramic card was then photographed and sent to a commercial printer to print 100 sets of the 6 card set. The images and the text were all created in clay using the same methods I utilize in creating my other ceramic sculptures.

A CERAMIC FIRST? Because the art work printed on these cards was created specifically as the final art for printing these cards, I believe this may be the first instance that the original illustrative medium for a collector card is clay!

This is part of a new approach to illustration I am exploring - the use of ceramic as an illustration medium. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my use of ceramics to create original illustrations for skate decks and comic book covers.

This 6 card set design is limited to 100 printed sets.
