Flask | Going Fly Fishing
The quiet waters below are hiding a large lunker of a Bass. Your favorite dry fly could entice a strike if presented in just the right manner. A quick sip of courage from your flask helps ward of the cold morning and it is time to test your tackle.
The primary clay body is a porcelain/stoneware. The underlying color background is built by layering patterns of underglaze to create the main design. Text and some graphics are created by impressing the clay with print plates. After bisque firing, the impressions are colored with washes of underglaze. Interior of the flask is glazed with a food-safe satin black glaze. After final firing to cone 5, the cork stopper and cord are added.
