PROCESS: This mug is made from a paper-clay slab with multiple layers of stenciled underglaze patterns applied to decorate the clay surface. The graphics are created with a letterpress print plate created by the artist. The print plate is impressed into the clay followed by hand-brushed underglaze applied in the recessed area. The mug form is then assembled from 6 pieces of slab clay, precisely trimmed to fit together. The mug is leak-proof.
This mug has a Satin Glaze interior and handle.
Ceramic: 4.625h x 4.625w x 3.125d inches, Cone 5 fired. This is food safe.
